I bought the Trafficmaster assorted carpet tiles at Home Depot. The box showed crazy mismatched squares that really spoke to my personality. Inside the box, though, were bland neutral tiles and out of 3 boxes, only one fun tile. (See the images of "what I thought" versus "what I got.") I emailed (I think I had the right address...askshaw@***.com) to ask if they could trade me bland boring tiles for a few kooky tiles. Hopefully they aswer, "YES!" I'd give them 5 stars if they come through. That would be some noteworthy customer service. Stand by for an update!!

Pros:
  • Good quality
  • Very fair price
  • Easy to install
Cons:
  • Waiting to see how customer service responds

Preferred solution: I'd like to trade a few (5-7) boring tiles for some fun, patterned, colorful tiles.

User's recommendation: If the retailer will allow, open each box to see if it contains tiles to your liking. Each box is different.

Defective

Installed flooring the weekend of the 4th of July. It's now September 24th, and there's peeling, bubbling, and we followed the exact instructions as per trafficmaster. Underlayment paper was installed, floors were left out to adjust to home temperature, and every single recommendation was followed. Only in our bedroom is there and issue with 5-6 boards.

I had an install at a customers house and got fourteen 17-3/4x17-3/4 tiles installed before hitting a major problem. Upon opening our third box it was noticed that the tiles were now 3/16 bigger than the tiles already installed.

We thought maybe it was just one box but this was not the case. Out of six additional boxes only two boxes were actually the same size- which were still different than the tiles already installed. Now we need to start over or cut every tile and clean the edges for a proper looking installation. Traffic master has now cost me a great deal of money.

It is a bottom shelf product with terrible quality control. I will tell anyone that listens to never buy and traffic master product in the future

I agree we should all get together and do something about this. How can they provide a 30 year warranty and then not honor it?!?!

I only wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this product because I’m 3 year in and the floors are completely ruined I have 27 years to go!! Imagine how they’d look!!!!

6 months mine started to get wavy. Called, wrote, nothing!

It is now 1.6 years. Strips of vinyl keep breaking off. I cut my toe on one.

The whole 850 sq ft needs to be removed and replaced. This is crap, Home Depot should cover this!

After pushing Home Depot - as they didn't want to help me - as my GC installed the flooring and didn't have the receipt. It was a bit of shoving required...

they eventually sent out a very nice independent flooring man to judge the issue. He was out to the house on Dec...

Had garden level bedroom redone and used Moonstone - Traffic Master Vinyl Plank Flooring. It was put in 2 years ago - and the guest room wasn't used much.

I moved in for a few months and added a desk and a chair ( rolling ). It tore up the flooring in 4 months - it cracked and disintegrated. Home Depot says - call Traffic Master. Call made to a number that says " you've reached customer service " for who ?

No idea. 888 864 ****. I really hope this isn't going to be as bad as it seems so far. I am guessing, but do not know what their hours are, that they are open during the week.

TBD. The flooring - didn't know - made in China. Not surprised and not shocked that Home Depot would sell this crap. And didn't see all the terrible reviews until I went looking for their phone number as Home Depot WILL not help you with this - 90 Day warranty - and you won't know there's an issue until well after that - unless you are using a rolling chair for example or ALOT of traffic.

Don't put down this crap, you are wasting your money. Spend alot more and get alot more.

Who wants to do this work more than once ? Enough Said ?

Preferred solution: Either replace the flooring - or give me a full refund to put towards the new flooring.

User's recommendation: do your research and find a quality material - not made in China ?

I purchased TrafficMaster 5.98 in. W x 36.02 in.

L Winding Brook Rigid Core Click Lock Luxury Vinyl Flooring @$42.87 per case (23.95 sq ft per case) 48 cases total from 2 Home Depot locations on April 20 2021 and May 6, 2021. This flooring was installed by my contractor in my newly renovated condominium in May of 2021. My move-in date was July 1 2021 and all was well until November 2021, I noticed a few of the boards were breaking up at the edges. At the time, I thought my chair had caused it with roller wheels so I covered it with a hard plastic chair mat.

A few months later, I noticed it was happening in many locations; not all were in traffic areas. There are now 10 locations where the boards are breaking up, mainly on the edges. This flooring comes with a 3 year residential warranty so I am requesting that you contact me to discuss your plan to replace your faulty materials. I think it is best if you send a representative from your company to inspect the damage and then we can discuss how you will exercise your warranty.

I 2ould never recommend this product to anyone since it is such poor quality and does not live up to claims as advertised. E McHardy, Las Vegas
